I've received numerous compliments on my new shop and many inquiries about where I bought specific items, so I decided to write a blog where you can find everything from my shop.

Ever since Thame Aromas was founded, I've had a clear vision of the brand I was building and what my shop would eventually look like. Now, three years later, I'm sitting in my new shop writing this blog. People have asked if my shop turned out as I imagined. The answer is yes... and even beyond that.

When I first viewed my current location, I was captivated by its charm, with stable doors and wood beams and a tranquil, idyllic setting perfect for establishing a beautiful home fragrance shop, surrounded by acres of countryside.

I envisioned myself working in this space and knew precisely how I wanted it to look. I began creating a cosy, elegant countryside environment where rustic elements blend with sophistication, incorporating earthy tones of soft greens, deep blues, natural wood, and accents of brass and matte black.

My exterior and Interior shop signs, plus leaflets, all my care cards etc are all done by the brilliant Keith at www.printnow.co.uk . They are a small run company located in Milton common near Thame. Always providing such a fantastic service

I've worked with Adam from www.prestigekitchens.co.uk for two years as I provide corporate gifts bags to his company, so when I knew I would need a space designed for me to create my products I knew one of his kitchens would compliment the rest of the shop, and it did not disappoint. The azure blue kitchen units matched with a quartz marble worktop finished with brass door handles have fitted into the shop perfectly. I needed a hard wearing surface for making my products and this worktop has been perfect. Adam also did the wood panelling and had the counter made to fit the space I needed. Brilliant service from both him & his team

Prestige Kitchens is located in Buckinghamshire

And finally all my furniture, I am a lover of wood, the older the better, I just love its durability & everything you can do with it, to create the country look i wanted to upcycle some old pieces, I knew I wanted statement pieces to compliment & show off my products, I found my round table off Thame freebay, the guy I rehomed it from had it for 30 years and the person before him had it for some time too, I sanded it down as it had been painted white on the legs and re painted it with farrow & ball Stiffkey blue, the top was sanded and varnished in oak & all finished off with a clear furniture finish varnish

This piece was a beauty of a find, and actually Dave found it for me, an 18th century Victorian Welsh dresser. this was part of the original kitchen in a home not far from us and listed on Facebook marketplace for £50, the owners were very happy to learn where it was going to end up!

I sanded it, painted it in Green smoke farrow and ball furniture paint, varnished oak on the dresser top & replaced the hooks, I've kept the original fixtures on the doors & draws

Now this was 8 foot tall when pieced all together so we did have to take it down slightly to fit against the walls

Walls are painted with valspar paint in alpaca mittens
