Candle care is an important aspect of owning and using candles, to ensure the safety and longevity of your candles, it is important to follow a few simple guidelines. Before lighting your candle, trim the wick 1/4 inch to prevent excessive smoke and soot. When burning your candle, make sure to allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface to prevent tunnelling. Always keep your candle away from drafts, and never leave a burning candle unattended. Finally, distinguish your candle by using a snuffler or gently blowing it out to prevent hot wax from splattering or the wick from drifting off centre.
